This lesson begins with the different types of greetings asking after one's health as well as the different greetings for the times of day each one having their appropriate response. To test your understanding of these greetings, you'll have to answer a series of questions.
Then we'll take a more in-depth look at the Wolof greetings in reference to the different parts of the day, it is extremely essential in Wolof Culture.
A list of new words for you to learn is extracted ou of this first part of the lesson.
The conversation between two women, Aysatu and Seynabu, will let you see how these greetings are used in a real conversation. First it will be presented to you without translation and then with both literal and figurative translations.
