92-Year-Old Paul Biya Wins Reelection for Eighth Term in Cameroon
🇨🇲🗳 The incumbent president won the election with 53.66% of the vote, according to official results submitted to the Constitutional Council.
His closest rival, opposition candidate Issa Tchiroma Bakary, trailed by 18 percentage points, securing 35% of the vote.
👉 This marks Biya’s eighth term in office, extending his 43-year presidency.
The Constitutional Council is expected to formally certify the final results in the coming days.
