      …AND THEY CANNOT STEAL IT

understand my Afrikan brothers and sisters

that they have stolen our history and culture

      desecrated our tombs and temples

claimed all that we had that was right and good

      as their own

understand that they have set the world upon us

branded us with all manner of derogatory names

      and things

and we labor under these things each and every day

they have said they are our god

the whiteness of their faces deem it so

and said we shall bow to no other god

they have mentally chained us to the toys

      of materialism

and said these things are what we should strive for

they have shackled us to everything outside ourselves

and we are in pain and suffering

in all of this horror, materialism and greed

there is one thing they cannot touch

      cannot destroy

      it is our Spirit…

it is our Spirit and the Spirit of our Ancestors

      which cannot be

      touched

      destroyed

      desecrated

      or defamed

it is our Spirit and the Spirit of our Ancestors

that holds us as high as the stars

beyond the stars and into infinity

      for all eternity

our Spirit is our home…our foundation

our Spirit is the core and essence of our being

our Spirit will always sustain us, guide us and guard us

our Spirit is perfect yesterday, today, tomorrow and

      for all eternity

      …And they cannot steal IT
