What a beautiful time to be alive and witness all that consciousness has to give/receive. It’s really been through learning to love our people that I am learning to love myself. Very grateful to exist and bear witness. Thank you Agya Kwadwo for this recommendation!

One of my all time favorites!

@obadelekambon it’s a lot to digest like “let the circle be unbroken” – just as overwhelming in depth but extremely helpful and life changing :)

one of the best short reads to have in one’s arsenal.

@AfroN8V it’s really cool to discover how seriously brilliant/lucid our ancestors/elders are in the form of these books that are like literal maps to the under(inner) world. But also a lot of the information is intuitive and common sense stuff that’s almost instinctive like Mama Marimba Ani explains in the intro

What have you learned from reading this book?
-
@snKwaku so only like 3 chapters in but it just reaffirms a lot of ideas and instincts that I think are intuitive to most Black people without the historical context or connection to our ancestors if that makes sense. Also it reaffirms the circular format of life, death, life and how to be more balanced!
