Abibitumi Liberating Truth Book Club 4 years ago · If anyone is looking for a quick read, that you can finish in one day, I recommend Nana John Henrik Clarke’s My Life In Search of Africa. I enjoyed this book and the stories he told, especially his time spent in Ghana and him being adopted by the Ewe since they claimed him!

Abibitumi Liberating Truth Book Club 4 years ago · the Rebirth of African Civilization is one of the best books I ever read, and I like it better than Destruction of Black Civilization, which is Nana Chancellor Williams’ more famous book.

I need to reread it. It’s been a while. I read Destruction prior to reading rebirth. -
What stands out to me about this book is Nana Williams not only criticism of capitalism, communism, and socialism for Africa but him offering his own solution which he architected as a Sociologist and African historian: cooperative democracy. He wrote this book spending time in Ghana and doing research in Ghanaian indigenous communities.…
