Nigeria has tried to boost its rice production by funding farmers and youth to cultivate unused lands. Unfortunately, the planning and execution of the rice program were poor and shortsighted. Nonetheless, I do commend Nigeria for doing something, and I hope the program will become a success in the next few years.

I posted this article because I recall in one of @obadelekambon lectures, he suggested investments in water technology owing to our water divinities and resources.
The West is listening and is about to put a lot of dollars in water tech in Africa.
