HTP KMTYW (Peace Black People),
Do you read books? Did you read as a child or did you pick up reading as an adult? Do you think its important to begin the habit of reading as young as possible? What kind of books do or have you read? Did any cover Afrikan truestory (the true story of our past, not his-story)? Do you think it’s important for children to read about Afrikan truestory?
The participants of Abibitumi’s Mbôngi group are putting together a library in Ghana, and we need your help!
Our goal is to support the re-Afrikanization process for continental Afrikans by way of a full library with authors from the continent and Diaspora.
We’ve put together a list of 100 books that Afrikan=Black people must read in order to learn about their truestory and the greatness that WE come from. The list includes some of your favorite books (Destruction of Black Civilization by Baba Chancellor Williams and Blueprint for Black Power by Baba Amos Wilson) and authors (Nana Marimba Ani’s Yurugu and Baba Cheikh Anta Diop’s Civilization or Barbarism), but it also contains some real gems that aren’t the most popular books in our home libraries (A Primer of Facts Relating to the Early Revolution to the Kidnapping of a President by Nana Pauline Elizabeth).
Our Mbôngi group has already collected several titles and continues to add to the library, but we are seeking help from Afrikans worldwide to achieve our goal of having a full library in Ghana quicker.
