In my view, the tradition vs. modernity conundrum is a false dichotomy.

Baba Akoto says “Everything is broken.” I don’t see that. We still have African survivals that have withstood Eurocentric socialization. Some Africans still speak ancestral languages like Twi and still practice ancestral spiritual traditions such as Vodoun & Ifa.
