**This is a “Mind Map” of an 8 week unit of lesson planning of presenting Motivational Words or Phrases.
**I’m doing my mind map in power point instead of writing out my lesson plans.
**The students will write and draw in a journal each week.
**I am teaching all of my students (pre-school- adults) how to sketchnote. Sketchnotes are purposeful doodling and visual notes while thinking about something interesting. Sketchnotes don’t require high drawing skills, but do require a skill to visually synthesize and summarize via shapes, connectors, and text. Sketchnotes are as much a method of note taking as they are a form of creative expression. If interested, you can google sketchnoting and watch a lot of how-to videos of how to train students to incorporate sketchnotes in their note-taking and journals.
**I am teaching my students how to make use of mind mapping for outlining, creating, can collaboration.
