Following a recent posting you made regarding the African Union Diaspora Headquarters to be established in Accompong, I am very please to confirm that this is indeed a fact! The headquarters in our historic Maroon community will be used to engage the African family across the 6th Region, thereby leading the way for a new era of cooperation between Africa and the Diaspora in this 21st Century.

AU Ambassador Arikana Chihombori Quao addresses the nation during the 280th Accompong Maroon Festival and announces new AU Diaspora Headquarters to be built in Accompong.I would welcome any additional information you could provide me about Abibitumi so that we can better understand the mystical cooperation we can build together. I applaud the academic offerings that you are providing thus far, particularly the online African languages program which is crucial for the future development of the Diaspora.

Maybe next the AU can stand for Abamnyama Union or Abibiman Union…something more indigenous….
edit: going to be upfront, the AU is not my favorite org but if this is true this sets a precedence for organized Afrikan lineage groups being recognized as Nations in global forums. The contradiction is that the “nations” in this particular forum AU is not based on lineage groups asserting a unified, autonomous relationship with their own government representing them… but these “nations” are colonial leftover border states from when the continent was chopped up like a plantation. This is something I will keep an eye on. And I’m glad the contact information was shared.
