Considering we have two equal forces, kala (+) and kalazima (-), and presently, we as African people are on the far end of the negative side of the scale, we have the awesome responsibility to center the scale. Reading this book gave me a better understanding of what Garvey accomplished. Garvey’s intention was to arouse the spirit of fight it will take to balance this scale, i.e. pride, unity, love, cooperation, economic development etc. He did an amazing job of this, and he even requested we invoke him…..
