Same, the current situation gives a good context and perspective.

Finally getting to this video. Agree with the current state –> former state approach. Pulled the whole narrative together into a very coherent whole. History as continuum.
Key takeways for me:
1. AF became the breadbasket of invaders (Greek, Roman, etc)
2. Depopulation Studies: Africa is the “final frontier”
3. aamw marrying into AF ruling families and taking power
4. Malawi regained food security by supporting women farmers!!!
Would love to know Dr. Dukuzumurenyi pov on UN, The Economist (attached), World Economic Forum indicating that AF population will surpass China by end of century. Will they step up depop efforts or turn their attention to Latin America instead? -
@dukuzumurenyi is breaking down systems theory in a way that I wish I had been taught!! Ironically, I was taught to apply Capra only to biological systems, not to INTEGRATE social, philosophy, political economy and ecology!! uugghh!! This is Blacellent!! Blacellent!! Whoo I imagine those students were challenged to hear about the lack of “solutions” in Tanzania after all these years. I just hope I live to see the day when ALLL dev agencies are kicked out of AF and AF can begin the work to rebuild.
