“What Does Tamahu Mean?” by Jermaine Thomas
There is often the claim that in antiquity, the racial identifier of White did not exist. However, according to scholar, Gerald Massey, the ancient Kemites (Egyptians) referred to Indo-Europeans as “‘Created white’ people” (Massey, 1881, p. 27; Diop, 1974/1955, p. 256).
Massey states:
“The Tamahu are light-complexioned people. In Egyptian, tama means people, and created. Hu is white, light, ivory. The Tamahu are the ‘Created white’ people” (Massey, 1881, p. 27).
Massey goes on to say:
“…the Egyptians recognised the black race to be the first of created men. The people of Ra are born of the great one who is in heaven; the Rut [Kemites/Egyptians] are born of his eye in their persons of superior men. He also created the Aamu and the Tamahu; further he has comforted himself with a multitude who came from him in the shape of negroes, but it is expressly said ‘Horus has created them and he defends their soul’” (Massey, 1881, p. 27-28).
Indo-Europeans or Europeans may not have referred to themselves as White, but Black-Africans such as the ancient Kemites (Egyptians) certainly did.

Why are people still arguing in 2024, that the ancient Kmtyw did not refer to themselves and foreigners, aAmw, based on skin color when we have numerous primarily evidence that proves that the ancient Kmtyw did in fact distinguish themselves from foreigners, aAmw, base on the color of their skin.
