Description

The Construction of Black Civilization, Volume I is a major primary-source study by Ɔbenfo Ọbádélé Bakari Kambon on the classical Kmt(.y.w) ‘Black People’ origins of sḫm Km ‘Black Power’ “Pan-Afrikanism” and the Dikènga Theory of Self-Identification as Kmt(.y.w) ‘Black People.’

This work does not merely revisit the old question of whether the Kmt(.y.w) were Black. It begins from that premise and moves the discussion forward: What did they think, say, and do because they knew who they were?

Through close engagement with primary sources from classical Kmt, including the Heru Narmer Palette, Weni, Harkhuf, Pepynakht Heqaib, Ipuwer, Merikara, Neferti, Sanhat, Khu-Sobek, Kamose, and Ahmose son of Abana, this volume documents patterns of self-identification, internal organization, enemy recognition, territorial defense, military restoration, and the construction of Black civilization.

The book is designed for serious readers, scholars, students, organizers, teachers, cultural workers, and all who are committed to Abibitumi ‘Black Power’ and Abibifahodie ‘Black Liberation.’
