This is the official group space for the Abibitumi Film Festival & Awards, where we celebrate, build, and organize around Black Power in film. If you’re a filmmaker, visual storyteller, student of history, or lover of cinema rooted in the worldview of Abibifoɔ (Black People)—you’re in the right place.

🛠 Our Mission:
To uplift and amplify films, documentaries, and media productions that are created by, for, and about Black people—centered in our truth, languages, culture, and Abibifahodie (Black Liberation). This is not entertainment for escapism. This is cinema as a cultural weapon.

✅ Share updates on the Abibitumi Film Series and Film Festival
✅ Announce screenings, premieres, and Q&A sessions
✅ Feature submissions from global Black filmmakers
✅ Discuss themes of Maat vs. isft in media and storytelling
✅ Promote visual content that restores the legacy of Km.t and the Kmtyw
✅ Connect directors, cinematographers, editors, writers, and visual griots
✅ Build alliances with those using film as a front in the mental and cultural war
