Paper is in two parts. First part is about economic theory (institutionalist school), while the second goes over the bureaucracy built in Botswana to combat illegal financial activities. While it gets very detailed in parts, there is some interesting information throughout.

Afrikan Business and Economics 5 years ago · Nigeria and pretty much all African countries were never independent. Berlin conferences transfer of colonies did not let Africans negotiate the structure or boundaries. Now self determination and human rights is on the table but we must go to Abantu rights the remetch or umuntu rights of Tshaka Zulu and kemet. An unforgiving law. From there… Read more

A fairly technical paper which goes through the various Western economic theories about growth and development. The author (Yves Ekoué Amaizo) deconstructs these models and shows why they haven’t worked for African countries. He argues for “Africa-centered Pan Africanism” as the focus of our economic theories.
