Pulling together information on Afrikan soil structures. For folx who like to get into the weeds and down into the dirt, this is it! The soil naming system, like everything else created in the eurasian sciences, is confusing and fragmentary. I’m taking what is useful (maps, parent rock, original plant cover, status of soils, degradation issues) and leaving the rest (fertilizers, commercial monocropping, etc).
