I can appreciate the correlation between our psychological “diet” and the implications it has our our mental health. There is a quote “What you do for yourself depends of what you think of yourself. What you think of yourself depends on what you know about yourself. What you know about yourself depends on what you have been told about yourself” Kwa David Whitaker- popularized by Nana Runoko Rashidi. This article reminded me of this quote. I do have a suggestion- leave the baggage of a “god” with the same people who created the things you mentioned to abstain from – tell-lie-vision and such. They are all tools of mental destruction.
