Morengy… A combat sport native to the Malagasy/Sakalava people of Madagascar (whom many African Americans share ancestry with (including late boxing legend Mohammad Ali). It is not a coincidence that it bares resemblance to the popular sport of Muay Thai, as Southeast Asian peoples along with have been migrating to Madagascar since its early history (~200 CE); mixing with native Bantu peoples from mainland Africa. The result is a unique cultural stamp left in the form of what we see today as Moraingy.
