I have been sexually assaulted more than once. Not by the scary stranger with a mask on jumping out of the bushes. By guys you know who talk softly, hear ‘no’, and think it’s an invitation to touch you, feel you, kiss you, and try harder to get you to say ‘yes’ or think when you give up it’s consent. The worst bruises from sexual assault are not the physical ones. I have no love for Disney but this episode is powerful and I think every man and woman should watch. Thank you for sharing. Many women have had similar experiences. It is important to empower one another, to help bring about healing, as these experiences may be traumatizing.
