What’s a good expat community for Americans in Ghana besides Cape Coast?
-
May I suggest that if you are going to transition into ‘African’ thought and behavior that you may want to drop that ‘American’ label. Nothing to brag about being ‘American’ you may as well as remain in ‘America’ and fight for them then.

@caribqueen78, I’d also recommend avoiding expats and amerikkkans and linking with repats and Afrikans. You can find the latter in Nkran (Accra), Prampram, the Akuapem mountains, n.k.

Come to think of it, an expat community may make it more difficult to assimilate. I will admit, I did lean on the familiarity of the expats in Cape Coast. Glad to have multiple perspectives in here.

I finally sent in my ancestry.com specimen. If I end up with 🇸🇱, I’m applying for citizenship for the ECOWAS passport. Does anyone know the minimum percentage of ancestry required?
-
Turns out I need to submit an africanancestry.com specimen for the citizenship. It’s pricey $600 for maternal and paternal results. I look at it as an investment for citizenship. LOL
-
I don’t think percentage matters. They want to African Ancestry certificate.
