Blessed Nana Marcus Mosiah Garvey Day to all!
Reflecting on my first trip to Nana Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem in 2017, and how much has changed for me since then. Now, I’m living in Ghana, ever grateful for Nana Marcus Garvey’s inspiration and example.
In the most recent chapters of my Garveyite journey, these particular words from Nana Garvey have been on my mind daily, guiding my thoughts and actions:
“,..for in science and religion lies our only hope to withstand the evil designs of modern materialism”
May we continue to find Nana Garvey in the whirlwinds and storms all around us.
May we continue to work with Nana Garvey’s spirit and the spirits of the millions of Black men and women who have died in America, those who have died in the West Indies, and those who have died in Africa, and are coming to aid us in the fight for liberty, freedom and life!
