	Good day! Does the Haitian word “gouyad” have an African origin? I have found it these days in a style of music they call “Kom(n)pa Gouyad”. It is similar to Zouk music. I know Zouk, Kizomba or Tarraxinha music because it is typical of Angola, Cape Verde… Or even Brazil. But I did not know Haitian musicians were collaborating with some others brothers/sisters on the continent!
