I think this is the case for many of us, but if we begin to do the inner work & heal gently in the appropriate time needed, we will do ourselves & our communities a great service🙏🏿✊🏿

This is such a powerful observation and understanding of our condition. Brother Phillipe Matthews says (and I’m paraphrasing) ‘this trauma has been done to us; this is not our natural state’. We are in a deep state of absolute trauma and we’ve never, over these 100s of years of relentless brutality and oppression, had time to really heal and find ourselves and who we really are.
