I have a few questions as it relates to the involvement of the Maroons in aiding the british colonials in recapturing & at times killing of fellow Afrikans on the island of Jamaica where I was born. I have answered my own questions for the most part by kind of putting myself in their position at that time, which is very hard to do but not necessarily impossible. I’m not sure if it’s correct in doing so but I was trying to relive the encounter to have somewhat of a innerstanding as to why they would go against their own people or people who look like them or maybe they weren’t their people to begin with and it was possibly like every man for themselves. I would love some deep reasoning as it relates to them & to try to get into the mind of a Maroon at that time and what they had to be dealing with.
