here in hamburg/germany my brothers and sisters around me have been arguing about and trying to get some knowledge on the Ghana-US Military Agreement. unfortunately i have not found a discussion on this here on http://www.abibitumi.com. have i missed it? then please point me to the discussion.
if not: what are your thoughts on this agreement?
i am strongly against this agreement. i am against u.s. military forces doing anything in our beautiful, peaceful country that keeps undermining afrikan liberation. i think it is the duty of every afrikan to go against this agreement! ..we should speak out! just like the people of ghana are doing in this demonstration (protest) that has taken place in accra.

      to roughly draw the understanding that i could gain on and about the agreement:
      -the president has not ratified(=signed it), but his party did in parlament: illegal.
      -there is absolutely no balance between use and cost: what is the use for ghana?
      -military base / no base… call it what you want: it is a MILITARY BASE!
      -$20 million / $30 million ..and no word of it in the agreement but more contradictions..
      -ghananaians have started huge protests on accras streets against the agreement.
      
      all these things are going on and NOT A WORD FROM GHANAS PRESIDENT nana akufo-addo?
      to me it is simple: the money.
      to sell your soil including your people this wreckless is a new scale for me.
      ..or have i just not watched the ghanaian news long enough?
      on the other side: our people seem to be ready. i could cry tears that is how greatful i am to the protesters. Mo! Mo! Mo!
