Seated below is General Ruku aka M’Ikiara wa Nyonta, a brave son of Meru and who was the founder/pioneer freedom fighter, mastermind, main financier, armourer and supplier of arms from Ethiopia for use by Mau Mau freedom fighters in the Mt Kenyan forest. He conceived the Mau Mau movement in his heart as he wanted to liberate his people from the oppressors and fought for their independence. He plays a very important role in our history books.
