When I was working in manhattan new york, I noticed that in mid-town manhattan there were a group of blacks and latinos wearing a red or blue jumpsuit pushing around garbage bins on wheels and cleaning the sidewalks. I’m not sure if they worked for a private company or they were participants in a government program. Anyhow, as I started looking to get more involved into the affairs of my community, seeing those black brothers cleaning the streets greatly influenced me to consider implementing the same activity in my community. Thinking it out thoroughly, I believe that by cleaning the sidewalk and streets of my neighborhood, in addition to it being a means to support and give back to my community, it would be a great start to creating a community based organization that could eventually spawn several business opportunities. Hear me out now. If a group of us in the same neighborbood can get together in our group uniform to clean the streets on a regular basis, we could gain the respect, admiration, and trust from the members of our community. After our group gains the reputation for being hard working, dedicated, and trustworthy, then we can offer our paid services as a business to the members of our community including residence and businesses who also could recommend us to friends, family, businesses, etc. The important factor to making this equation work successfully is gaining the reputation for being hard working, dedicated, and trustworthy. Being publicly known for possessing these quailities, in any sitituation, will make people respect you and seek out your assistance. Lets back track for a moment, during the days when we get together to clean the neighborhood, we also get togehter to discuss our talents and how we could expand and develop them to a professional level in order to convert our talents into paid services. Therefore, we must undergo tremendous studying and researching. This idea of cleaning the community to develop a business may need to be developed and refined to a greater extent which will take the assistance of others who are willing to give their opinions or willing to form a group to undergo this mission. I am accepting all abibitumi members opinions, so please let me know how this idea can be better developed. I currently reside in the castlehill, parkchester section of the bronx, new york for those interesting in forming a community group in the area.
