AES should take the matter of fighting insecurity in West Africa into their own hands. Because ECOWAS has proven to be the Trojan horse of the West. ECOWAS put sanctions on the AES and was ready to invade the AES, particularly Niger, on behalf of France and the United States.
Any cooperation between AES and ECOWAS in fighting insecurity in West Africa, can be a tool the west can use to destabilize the Sahel region.
ECOWAS is an organization that is been funded and supported by the west, particularly France and the United States. The AES should not corporate with ECOWAS in fighting insecurity in West Africa.

ECOWAS is not performing in the interest of West Africa. ECOWAS is not prioritizing the interests of West Africa. ECOWAS is influenced, supported, funded and controlled by western powers, particularly France (and the United States).
ECOWAS has greatly deviated from its initial core values, principles and goal, which is the economic unity and integration of West Africa.
ECOWAS is now a puppet organization of western powers.
