Djibouti Eliminates Age Limit for Presidential Candidates
Lawmakers have unanimously passed a constitutional amendment removing the age cap that barred candidates over 75 from running for president, the parliament’s speaker told a local news outlet.
The change allows the current president to take part in the next election, scheduled for April 2026.
