Zimbabwe Partners with Private Sector for Comprehensive Tourism Master Plan Update to Drive Industry Growth

The government will advance tourism via sustainable practices and community involvement in accordance with the National Tourism Policy, the National Development Strategy 2 document said.

“A modernized Tourism Master Plan will give clarity to investors, provide direction on product development and help unlock new tourism corridors,” a travel and leisure operator Tafadzwa Mandiwanzira was quoted by local media as saying.

Tourism accounts for about 12% of the country’s GDP, generates key foreign exchange, and is projected to expand by 4.3% in 2025, according to state media.
