      Guinea’s Supreme Court Officially Proclaims Mamadi Doumbouya as President

      On Sunday, the president of the Supreme Court formally proclaimed the winner of the December 28 presidential election following the conclusion of the electoral process.

      Doumbouya was elected President of the Republic for a 7-year term with 86.72% of the valid votes cast.

      The voter turnout recorded at 82.86%.

      The appeal filed by the Democratic Front of Guinea, led by Abdoulaye Yéro Baldé, was withdrawn by the candidate himself.
