Hama Hadiza Oumarou, member of the advisory council for the refoundation, welcomed a break with the long-standing importation practices:
“Now, we are far from the poisoned and expired products that are brought to us, […] now, we consume fresh products,” she told Sputnik Africa.
Exhibitor Mamane Gamba Indatou sees it as a lever for economic independence:
“Everything we process and consume makes us independent. It is an achievement. Instead of waiting for others to process it and sell it to us expensively,” she emphasized.
