Nigerian Armed Forces to Receive 46 Aircraft, Helicopters, and Drones

The upcoming influx of new military hardware to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) includes:

24 M-346 ground attack aircraft;
12 AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters;
10 AW-109 Trekker helicopters.

Pilot and technician training is currently underway, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke announced during a ceremony at the Kaduna air base.

The overall mission of the NAF is “to enhance and sustain a highly motivated, professional, and mission-ready force capable of delivering decisive airpower effects in synergy with surface forces for the realisation of national security objectives,” Aneke stated.
