Africa Must Integrate Women Into Decision-Making Spheres, Emphasizes Burkinabè Official
Mentalities are changing, but the continent can do more to strengthen women’s place in the world of work, Germaine Bonkoungou-Compaoré, president of the Burkina Faso Chamber of Trades, told Sputnik Africa.
“Including women in decision-making spheres is very important. Likewise, appointing women to strategic positions, because they do not lack skills or experience. Involve women, and we will see the results.”
Women in positions of responsibility can, in turn, act in favor of women’s causes worldwide, she added.
