🇳🇬 Nigeria Signs Hosting Agreement for Intra-African Trade Fair 2027 in Lagos

Nigeria, the African Export-Import Bank, the African Union Commission, and the AfCFTA Secretariat signed the hosting agreement for the 2027 Intra-African Trade Fair on Monday at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts in Lagos. The fifth edition of the biennial event will bring together exhibitors, buyers, investors and policymakers from across the continent. The previous edition, held in Algiers in 2025, recorded $48.3 billion in trade and investment deals and attracted over 112,000 visitors from 132 countries.

Afreximbank president George Elombi and former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo both spoke at the ceremony. Nigeria’s minister of industry, trade and investment, Jumoke Oduwole, represented President Bola Tinubu at the signing.
