Burkina Faso Improves Healthcare Services
In just a few days, between 30 June and 3 July 2026, Burkina Faso implemented several measures to improve the public health of its citizens. The government inaugurated a new clean drinking water production site, distributed four mobile hospitals to the army, and provided ambulances to rural villages.
This snapshot of a few new updates comes amid much broader efforts to improve national and regional health.
On 24 December 2025, Burkina Faso inaugurated the Pala University Hospital Centre and its Radiotherapy Centre in Bobo-Dioulasso, West Africa’s largest teaching hospital, with support from China.
