History Teaches You Not To Be A Fool Twice

“History teaches you not to be a fool twice.”
—The Great The Honorable Nana Kamau Rashidi Kambon (Nana Kwasi Agyeman): THE QUIET WARRIOR
The main theme from this proverb is learning from history.
“History teaches you not to be a fool twice.”
Being a fool once might be unavoidable, but repeating the same mistake over and over and over again makes you a fool.
This proverbial saying by Nana Kamau Rashidi Kambon (Nana Kwasi Agyeman), is similar to the universal proverb-“Fool me once, Shame on you; Fool me twice, Shame on me”.
There is a another great universal proverb that says “”Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over again and expecting different results”.
So why is it that Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people don’t learn from history but keep doing the same thing over and over and over again and expecting a different result.
For example: Ghana has requested financial assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), 17 times since gaining independence in 1957. This is about once every four years on average. So Ghana has not learned from history that the IMF and World Bank reconstruction monetary loan fund is a neocolonial predatory system to keep Ghana and Kmt=Black Lands=Black Countries=The Black Community (Africa) poor, in a perpetual cycle of continuous debt and in debt enslavement.
“History teaches you not to be a fool twice.”
Fool me once, Shame on you; Fool me twice, Shame on me”.
“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over again and expecting different results”.
Ghana has yet to learn from history that every time it goes to request financial assistance from the IMF and World Bank, it is helping to destabilize Ghana’s economy and to keep Ghana from developing into a great Black nation=Kmt=Abibiman.
Societies, like Ghana, that ignore historical patterns, e.g., economic greed, economic crisis or ignoring economic mismanagement often face the same economic crises again and again and again.
Every time Ghana stretches its hands out to receive financial assistance and aide from the IMF and the World Bank, it is contributing to Ghana’s consistent economic crisis, which always leads to low-income economy, poor infrastructure, poor to nonexistent education system, and low quality of life for its citizens. It is not a coincidence that all of the countries in Kmt=Abibiman=Black Lands=Black Countries (Africa) are considered “third-world countries” or at best “developing countries”. You can substitute Ghana with any Black country, from Nigeria, to Kenya, to South Africa, to Jamaica, to Haiti, etc., and you are going to get the same results as in Ghana-which is perpetual economic crisis, low-income economy, poor infrastructure, poor to nonexistent education system, and low quality of life for its citizens.
Ghana and all the other Black Countries continuously going to the IMF and the World Bank and stretching their hands out for economic assistance, aides, and bailouts is-a tragic “fool twice” moment.
“History teaches you not to be a fool twice.”
“Fool me once, Shame on you. Fool me twice, Shame on me.”
This saying suggests that after being fooled once, you should learn from it (history) and never let it happen to you again.
So applying this to history, the quote –“History teaches you not to be a fool twice,”-means by studying past events, history, you can avoid the same mistakes that you, your Ancestors and others before you made.
Again, why do Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people keep making the same mistakes over and over and over again.
How does history teaches us not to be a fool twice?
History is full of examples of Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people, Black societies, Black nations making mistakes and errors in judgment and leading to their unfavorable results and consequences.
The enslavement and colonialzation of Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people Kmyw did not start with the Arabs or the Europeans. The enslavement and colonization of Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people started with the Hyksos, circa 1650 BCE (that’s almost 4,000 years ago). We, the ancient Kmtyw, opened our borders to the Hyksos to settle in Lower Kmt. The Hyksos were Bedouin nomadic cattle herders. And us, Black people=Abibifoɔ=Kmtyw always being soooo generous, soooo kind and and soooo friendly to strangers and foreigners, we open our northern borders to the Hyksos for them to settle and build a community.
According to the Classical Kmt historian, Manetho, he protrayed the Hyksos as invaders, enslavers and oppressors.
Manetho, was an indigenous Native Kmtyw High Priest and historian who described the Hyksos rule as thus:
“A people of no noble origin from the east, whose coming was unforeseen, had the audacity to invade Kmt, invade the country, which they mastered by brute force without difficulty or even battle. Having overpowered the kings and chiefs, they then savagely burnt the cities, razed the temples of the gods to the ground, and treated the whole native population with the utmost cruelty, massacring some, and carrying off the wives and children of others into slavery. They were violent conquerors and oppressors of Kmt.” (Contra Apion I.75-7).
The ancient Kmtyw portrayal, recount, and history of the invasion, conquest and rule of the Hyksos was one of blood thirsty, bloodbath, bloodshed, chaos, violent, destruction, an oppressive state and oppressive foreign rule.
After the Hyksos settled in Lower Kmt, they invaded, conquered and ruled all of Lower Kmt. After having all of Lower Kmt under their seize, control and power, the Hyksos then worked their way down southwards and invaded, captured and conquered Middle of Kmt and portion of Upper Kmt. At the height of the Hyksos rule in Classical Kmt, they had a great portion of Kmt under their rule, power and possession.
The Hyksos period marks the first time in the long history of Classical Kmt in which Kmt was attacked, invaded, conquered and ruled by foreigners and foreign rulers, the aAmw.
The Hyksos period marks the first in which foreign rulers ruled Kmt in its 5,000 years history.
The Hyksos ruled Kmt for over a hundred years, until SaRa (King) Ahmose I, the patriarch and founder of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Classical Kmt, arguably the greatest Dynasty in Ancient Kmt, and the era in which Kmt reached its peak as a superpower (some of our Great Black Historians will say it was the 19th Dynasty that Classical Kmt reached its peak).
SaRa Ahmose I was from Upper Kmt (southern Kmt). He was a member of the The Theban (Thebes) (Waset) Royal House family and son of King Seqenenre- It was SaRa (King) Seqenenre who was the spark that started the fight and war for the Liberation for Classical Kmt, and Ancient Kmtyw, against the foreign rule of the aAmw, the Hyksos.
During his reign, SaRa Ahmose I completed the conquest, overthrow, and expulsion of the Hyksos from Lower Kmt, the Hapi Delta (Nile Delta), and drove out and expelled the Hyksos out of Kmt into the Levant (modern-day Palestine). Ahmose I restored Upper Kmt rule over all of Kmt, and successfully reasserted Kmt rule, power, possession, and influence in its former subject territories of Canaan (modern-day Palestine) and its surrounding territories and lands, (the Levant)
Josephus, the ancient Jewish historian, and along with most of the ancient writers and scholars of antiquity, associate and connect the Hyksos with the ancient Israelite-Hebrew Jews. Quoting from Manetho’s Aegyptiaca, Josephus states that when “the Hyksos were expelled from Egypt, they founded Jerusalem”(Contra Apion I.90).
Did the ancient Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people learn from history of the hostile foreign invasion, conquest, take- over and rule of Kmt by the aAmw, the Hyksos.
NOPE. NO
We opened our borders for the Greeks and the Romans. The Greeks and the Romans also came into Kmt and enslaved Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people, and colonized Kmt.
Did Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people learned from the history of the aAww, the foreign rule of the Hyksos, the Greeks and the Romans in Kmt?
NOPE. NO
We opened our borders for the Arabs to come into Kmt=Abibiman. The Arabs came into Kmt=Abibiman=the Black Land, with the proposition of trade, commerce and the spreading of their new “peaceful” religion, Islam. After the Arabs settled in Egypt, the Arabs invaded and conquered the whole of northern Kmt (northern Africa), with the sword. In the end of the Arab invasion and conquest of northern Kmt (northern Africa), tens of millions Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people (Black Africans) were forced into the Arab Saharan slave system where millions of Black (Black African) men and boys were castrated as eunuchs and forced into slavery in the hands of Arab men; and millions of Black (Black African) women and girls were sent to northern Kmt (north Africa), Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, India, and China and beyond, to be slaves and/or and forced to be in harem prostitutes for Arab men and foreign men in foreign lands.
OK Finally, Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people have learned from the history of the aAmw, the foreigners and foreign rulers of the Hyksos, the Greeks, the Romans and the Arabs?
NOPE. NO
We then opened our borders for the Europeans to come into Kmt=Abibiman=Land of the Blacks. The Europeans also came into Kmt with the initial proposition of trade, commerce and spreading the “good news of Jesus Christ”, to the heathens, pagans, devil-worshipping, backward Africans in the Dark Continent. Christianity was the the tool that the European Christian missionaries was going to use to bring enlightenment, and western civilization to the savage, barbaric, animalistic, backward, devil worship, pagan, heathens, Black Africans in the Dark Continent.
After the Europeans got settled in Kmt= Abibiman=Farafina (off the coast of West Africa), they shipped tens of millions of Black Africans to the Americas as chattel slaves to work on the aAmw, the Europeans, slave plantation in the Americas for centuries, for free.
In the the end of Europeans coming into Kmt=Abibiman=Land of the Blacks (Africa), tens of millions of Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people were illegally trafficked to unknown foreign lands in the Americas, and almost the whole of Kmt=Abibiman=Land of the Blacks (Africa), was (and still is) in the hands and control of Europeans.
Before 1884 (the Berlin Conference) over 90% of Kmt’s Lands=Abibiman=Land of the Blacks (Africa),was in the hands of African Kings, Queens, Elders and its people. After 1914, over 90% of Kmt’s Land=Abibiman=Land of the Blacks (Africa) was, (and still is) in the hands of the Europeans, aAwmw, foreigners, foreign rulers.
If we study these tragic events in history, we can see a similar pattern, when we welcome the aAmw, the foreigners and foreign rulers into our Borders, into our Continent, into our Country, into our Community, into our Village, into our Home, into our Family and in our Midst, as history teaches us, IT DOES NOT END WELL FOR KMTYW=BLACK PEOPLE=ABIBIFO. The end result is that, we as, Black People=Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ ALWAYS END UP IN SOME FORM OF, Enslavement, Colonization, Racial Segregation, Apartheid, Oppression, Exploitation, Discrimination, etc.
We, as Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people should be working diligently in avoiding these disastrous errors and consequences when we welcome the aAmw, foreigners, into our Continent, our Country, our Community, our Village, our Home, and in our Midst.
“History teaches you not to be a fool twice.”
If we as Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people, are going through certain circumstances and every time these circumstances turns out very bad for us, then it might be time that we look at history and choose a different path.
Making a mistake once is part of learning, but doing the same mistake again, and again and again, after knowing the history is “foolish”, and borderline “insanity”.
History serves as a teacher, and as a guide to prevent the second mistake from happening. And also, History is about learning from other people’s mistakes, misfortunes and, experiences so that you don’t make the same mistakes and misfortunes to suffer the same consequences as someone in the past suffered.
I have noticed that Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people ignore historical lessons. Enslavement and colonization is still bursting and alive on the African Continent (in Kmt=Abibiman=Farafina).
After 4,000 years, we, Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people, we still have not learned anything from history.
For over 4,000 years of history, Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people have not learned anything about aAmw, foreigners, and foreign rule.
Black people are still being enslaved in North Africa and in the Arab world. The Arabs are on a jihadist rampage abd are slowly moving southward into the interior Kmt=Abibiman (Africa) to conquer more lands of Kmt=Abibiman=Farafina=Lands of Black People.
The white Dutch Boers are planning on annexing the whole of South Africa (uMzantsi) for themselves. Currently there is a “white only” town in South Africa. White South Africans want to secede Western Cape (Cape Independence) away from (uMzantsi) South Africa and form their own “white only” country.
“No Dogs or Blacks Allowed” and “No Dogs and No Blacks Allowed” signs in your own ancestral Black country=Kmt. An aAmw can come into Kmt=Abibiman (Africa) unwelcome, and place a sign on his or her doorpost, “No Dogs or Blacks Allowed”, and Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people will go on about their day as if being disrespected and being treated less than a dog in your own country is normal. This type of behavior by aAmw, foreigners, is only allowed and permitted to happen in Black countries and in Black communities. No where else on planet Earth can this types of disrespect and racial discrimination in your own Continent and Country, be tolerated, condoned and supported by anyone else. It is only Black people=Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ who celebrates and welcomes these types of disrespectful behavior and abuse against Black peoples. And we DEFEND and put on the highest pedestal Black Leaders who promotes and perpetuates cowardice behavior in Kmt=Abibiman=Farafina=The Black Community.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., told racist white people:
Loving your enemies:
(Loving aAmw):
(Loving your foreign rulers):
“Throw us in jail, and we will still love you. Bomb our homes and threaten our children, and we will still love you. We will wear you down by our capacity to suffer.”
—Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Nelson Mandela: Instead of going to war with the aAmw, the foreigners, and the the foreign rulers in uMzantsi (South Africa), and fighting for the Land of your Ancestors back into the hand of the Black majority people in uMzantsi, instead the cowardly approach that was taken by Nelson Mandela was: “SOUTH AFRICA IS A RAINBOW NATION”
A Rainbow Nation that has an “Only White Town”.
This can and will only happen in a Continent, in a Black Country, in a Black Community, in a Black Village, and in a Black Home.
SaRa (King) Seqenenre and his son, SaRa (King) Ahmose I, should be a mandatory history curriculum lesson in every Kmtyw Centered=Black Centered (Black African Centered) Curriculum Education System.
Black people should actively learn from history instead of ignoring history. It is not just about knowing history, or knowing about your the past, but it is about applying those lessons learned from history to avoid repeating the same mistakes and errors that your Ancestors and those before you made.
And even on a personal and individual level, if someone makes a mistake, they should learn from it so they don’t repeat the same mistake again.
“History teaches you not to be a fool twice”.
History has instructive value. But as you can see, not every Black person pays attention to the lessons that history teaches. Black people need to actually engage with history and take the lessons that history teaches to heart. Otherwise, Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people, are doomed to continually repeat the same mistakes and errors over and over and over again, from the Hyksos, to the Greeks and the Romans, to the Arabs, and the Europeans. And now it seems it is the Asians, particularly China who is the next aAmw, foreigner, foreign ruler, in line, a long line of aAmw, who comes into Kmt= the Land of the Black, with an initial proposition for trade, commerce and business partner. But again, once these aAmw, foreigners get settle in Kmt=Abibiman=Land of the Blacks (Africa), the end result for Kmt and for Kmtyw is nothing but Enslavement, Colonization, Exploitation, Oppression, Discrimination, Racial Segregation, Apartheid, etc.
“History teaches you not to be a fool twice”.
The proverbial quote means that Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people need to study and understand past historical events and the mistakes, errors, and failures that was made in the past by our Ancestors, and those that came before you, both individually and collectively; and we, Kmtyw=Abibifoɔ=Black people, should avoid making the same mistakes, errors, and failures that was made in the past by our Ancestors and those who came before us.
The first mistake, which might be unavoidable, should be a learning experience. The knowledge, experience and lessons learned from history should prevent a reoccurrence of the same mistakes, errors, and failures from ever happening again.
For example, touching a hot stove once is a mistake, touching it again is foolishness.
First time is ignorance. Second time is foolishness.
Making a mistake once might be forgivable (you didn’t know better). But repeating the same mistake after seeing the consequences? That’s willful foolishness. History’s lessons are there to inform and guide us, so we have no excuse for repeating the same blunders, errors and mistakes.
“History teaches you not to be a fool twice”, is a call to every Black person=Kmt=Farafin=Obibini, to study and learn proactively from history, and learn from the past, to make wiser and thoughtful decisions for the future, especially for your future children, children, children in Kmt=Land of the Blacks= Abibiman=The Black Community=Black Countries.
Once you know better, you’re responsible for doing better. History isn’t just facts; it’s a warning system. History is a teacher. History is a guide. History is an instructional manual for Life.
“History teaches you not to be a fool twice.”
In essence:
History serves as a teacher, a guide, offering cautionary tales, lessons and wisdom. Heeding history lessons allows us to navigate the present more thoughtfully and cautiously, and avoiding the folly of repeating past errors and mistakes. Once we are informed by history, we have no excuse for repetition-repeating the same mistakes over and over and over again, expecting different results.
And on an individual personal level, it’s about reflecting on your past—whether it be bad relationships, personal or financial missteps, or poor life choices—you use the wisdom you learned from your history, and your past, to act differently moving forward. If you keep making the same errors and mistakes, you’re ignoring your own “History.”
Do not keep repeating the same mistakes and errors, once you have learned from history, and from your past.
“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over again and expecting different results”.
“Fool me once, Shame on you. Fool me twice, Shame on me.”
“History teaches you not to be a fool twice.”
