I had the privilege to hear and see Dr. Clarke on several occasions. But the most memorable was his appearance at Malcolm X College (Chicago). Because there were only 10 people in attendance it was decided that the lecture be moved from the auditorium to a classroom. Up close and personal it was for 3 hours plus a question and answer period.…

I got to see Dr. Clarke in person once. I really felt fortunate and have kept the program since October 1992. Runoko Rashidi and Jan Carew spoke at the conference as well.

One of my absolute pleasures is to sit and listen to lectures by our beloved Dr. John Henrik Clarke. There is a virtual treasure trove of materials via YOUTUBE that I never tire of. This brings up a couple of questions that have peaked my interest. 1. Did Dr. Clarke ever meet and/or talk with WEB DuBois either in the States or Ghana? 2. Did… Read more

While watching a historical documentary on Ashanti chiefdom I was stunned when I heard the highest chief during an interview say that, “Jesus Christ was his lord and savior”. He said this while attired in full kingly regalia, wrists dripping with
gold bangles and rings, gold and jewel encrusted crown. If the high paramount chief of the Ashanti… Read more

Not very surprising at all. Some of the Rulers are not performing traditional religious rites owing to their Christian beliefs. Interestingly, they will be the first to lament that the culture is deteriorating and no one has respect for the stool.

In the spirituality forum, I posted a video of a Queen Mother’s interview with a reporter… Read more

Just learned the results of two DNA tests I had done by two DNA companies – one in Canada and the other a popular company in the USA. Both were shockers but both were the same. My paternal line is from the Somali and my maternal Akan (Ghana). WOW!!!
