My daugther is an artist also, she is 19 and she’s here in Tanzania. I will send her your page and hopefully she’ll reach out to you.

Meda ase for the compliment! Im not a trained artist, but drawing was my very first hobby and it remained part of my life until my late teenage years. Krakkas criticized my work and made fun of it.. I didn’t have backbone back then so I fell for their tricks and stopped drawing. But I saw a brother who is an artist using his skills to show what our ancestors in Kemet truly looked like and I was inspired to get back into art. My mother is a professionally-trained artist so it’s in my blood. I hope your daughter reaches out!

Blacknificent! I draw too and write as well, but I dont do it as much as Id like too. Asante for sharing your work.

Karibu dadangu.. I would recommend that you try to set aside just 10 minutes per day to draw something or write. For me, its been releasing a lot of stress. Also , what’s motivating me to improve my artwork is the potential of earning a living!!! Perhaps try seeing it that way

Ive wanted to write and illustrate AND take photos for Kmtyw children’s books. Difficult to stay motivated when there are not a lot of like minded Kmtyw around. But I will try to draw something at least once a day. Here lately, it’s been every few months.

Artists unite! I’ve been making digital art for years and I am now pushing myself into self-learning animation. Never went to art school either and I still have my dream to produce animations, video games from the stories, characters, adventures and worlds that I’ve created over the years. I might consider making a forum section for traditional and digital art, drawing, sketching, painting…for us artists to help each other, share ideas and learn new things! I just didn’t know how many fellow artists were on here. 👋🏿

Artists unite indeed. You should certainly make the forum or even a group… many members would be interested. I have a preference for drawing by hand but i know that in this tech-run world, i will have to get into digital art. I’ve tried some in the past but I don’t feel connected the same way i do when i draw by hand. I guess it’ll take some adapting. I’ve been trying to find some courses on animation.. I would love to see your work when you get to that point. I’m tired of seeing eruasians dominate the art world even though their “art” is hideous. We are the best artists, period.
