The battle to stay true to self has been TOUGH!!! People have tested and tried me since i came into actual consciousness joining abibitumi 4 years ago. But , here i am, still standing and stronger than ever as i approach age 31. I am not perfect, but daily, i strive to be better while still being gentle with myself. At the same time, it is also the 4-year anniversary of when i loc’d my hair.. let’s just say krakkas and their cousins treat me differently when they see this Black girl with actual locs… not the “neat” mess you see online and preferred by the brainwashed people in our community.
