"Our Grand Homecoming": A Visionary Address at 2026 ASCAC Annual Conference
In this visionary address delivered at the 2026 Association for the Study of Classical African Civilizations annual meetings, I reveal home education as more than an alternative to school. I frame home education as a Black ancestral return, a family-centered infrastructure, and a strategic pathway for cultural continuity, educational SOULvereignty, and collective power.
Through this work, I guide us through a call to cellpH-remember, ancestral insight on our Grand Exodus from white pathological killonialism, and a 9-point strategic plan for cultivating associationship between Black knowledge organizations and home-educating families. This address invites organizational leaders, parents, educators, researchers, and cultural practitioners to not only document what we know, but organize our knowledge into living educational markets for Black people globally.
