Excited and humbled to share I’m heading to Africatown to “ground” with our people and serve the descendants of our famed ancestor Oluale Kossola aka Cudjo Lewis, the 32 others who founded African Town, in maroon resistance, following ’emancipation’ in 1865 Mobile Bay landscape. Y’all know the story of the 110, read Barracoon…now live the reality and watch for ways to support our work on the ground to revitalize the spirit of Ubuntu and the reimagining of liberation from decades of oppression.
