So how do you all feel about A.I.?
Knowing that Europeans are pushing this technology society it seems wrong that we (Black ppl) should be following in their footsteps. Didnt Amos Wilson say that we’re just following white ppl to death?
So how do we stop following them?
Besides from a nuclear disaster to start this world over and kill millions of ppl what else can we do?
We’re all caught up in this technological world and truly it would be hard for many of us to detach.
But knowing that our ancestors did not depend on technology to live or solve the problems that they faced, makes me feel some kinda way about this world that we live in today. I know that we should be teaching our kids about science or STEM to stay relevant. However, I feel that we should not be doing science the same way that white ppl are doing it today. Their approach to doing science is only killing this planet and us. Has anyone seen that show Picard? They always put the most racist msg in their SiFi tv shows. Here they had someone literally move a sun to warn them that AI is dangerous. But WTF do they do….save AI anyway.
So WTF are we supposed to do when it comes to technology?
IDK….the tequila got me thinking out loud.

Nah, thats not what I was getting at.
We’re caught up in European culture. The majority world is following the Eurocentric model. I say that because ppl from all around the world come to the West to go to universities and take what they have learned back home, with more than likely no filter. So we’re caught up in this illusion of progress. Remember Marimba Ani did a whole chapter on this “idea of progress” and how disillusional it is. Because when is enough enough? Thats my point. Not that I just wanna “hold on to the good old days”. If technological advances would have stopped in the year 2000 how would the world have suffered because we put a halt on it? It wouldnt. We are literally talking about a group of ppl who enslaved another ppl just to build a nation and now they wanna use AI and robot labor for free (slavery again) because they dont wanna do the work.
In all my advanced math classes we used Python and R Studio to solve some problems. Which I thought was stupid. I took machine learning classes not just to know how to build AI programs but to learn how to kill it when the time comes.
