        I’ve been thinking about why do we black folk acknowledge the months of the year with Europeans names? January, February, March, April…and so on. My understanding is that these are Greeks Gods of some sort.
        Anyhow, I have have been marking my to-do list month with the following names since last year:
        Januray = Lumumba – Cabral
        February = Malcolm X – Sobukwe
        April = Toussaint Louverture
        June = Marcus Garvey
        August = Huey Percy Newton
        September = Steve Biko
        October = Thomas Sankara
        November = Nat Turner
        December = Fred Hampton
        ???

        Just know that any correspondence from me to the family here will be marked as above. Outside correspondance will follow European months.
        I will like to discus this with you here…I’m open to discussion, suggestions, or guidance.
