Q1 So, let’s say one knows one has an ancestor who was an ‘ain’t ish’ individual (abusive, wasnt around for his/her offspring etc). Does one still call their name out in ceremony/devotions?
Q2: Found the answer.

R1 – Being spiritual beings having a physical experience, our purpose in being here is to fulfill our destiny – to live with good character, and restore ma’at. It is my understanding that by living this way, you are able to be an ancestor – and when we call on and commune with our ancestors, we call on those who (in many ways) accomplished this in their lives. As it is their impact that will assist us with fulfilling our destiny.
R2 – good question, i’ll leave this one for someone who may be better qualified to answer.
I hope this helps.
