[…] 23…
[1] Because the longest path (in terms of distance) is sometimes the fastest (in terms of time) and the most enlightning (regarding Life lessons);
[2] Because the most strillest scream can sometimes be expressed in a magnificent symphony of nuanced silences;
[3] Because in the heart of the densest darkness shines the brightest light;
[4] Because the most unbearable pains sometimes give birth to the most exquisite masterpieces;
[5] Because too often‚ its the very the noise and turmoil of our own differentiated Verb (our thoughts‚ words‚ actions and intentions) that prevents us from hearing Life‚ that relentlessly speaks and teaches;
[6] Because it’s a sacred duty to be creative, innovative and even disruptive at all times, and because this capacity‚ inherent to the very essence of our souls‚ is impatiently waiting to be put to work for our individual and collective benefit;
[7] Because the most trying journeys sometimes forge the most authentic beings and the deepest scars sometimes become the most tangible evidence not only of battles fought‚ but of victories won;
[8] Because the feat of reconstructing oneself as one wishes to be sometimes requires beforehand the folly of accepting or even loving oneself as one (currently) is;
[9] Because finding oneself sometimes requires getting lost on the most hostile of paths‚ and that the most unlikely roads sometimes lead to the most wonderful destinations;
[10] Because to know oneself‚ to discover one’s essence‚ to assess what one is really made of sometimes implies to have been deconstructed‚ even almost destroyed;
[11] Because in order to survive until tomorrow, it’s sometimes necessary to forgive oneself for yesterday’s mistakes and to commit oneself to admitting and correcting one’s turpidity and flaws today;
[12] Because our pettiness and perfidy, both characteristic and circumstantial, once assumed, can pave the way to our true greatness;
[13] Because becoming and remaining oneself in the world that is now ours is sometimes a delicious rebellion‚ an act of singular courage;
[14] Because we have and must regain use of the power to legislate our own life and the circumstances that compose it;
[15] Because sometimes our ultimate destination and purpose in this earthly existence are not to be decided but discovered;
[16] Because there is no greater honor for a Builder‚ Architect of Hope‚ with an igneous heart than to serve his people and his community for the glory of the Great Architect of the Universe;
[17] Because cooperation is better than competition, consultation is better than confrontation and, in the end, coexistence is always better than codestruction‚ disappearing together altogether;
[18] Because the Earth deserves that we‚ its guardians‚ awaken to our responsibilities towards the whole community of living beings and because it has now become obvious that the thread sustaining survival of Humanity is tied to all forms of Life, however small they may be;
[19] Because we are smoke of which our Ancestors are the Fire‚ and that no Tree that denies its roots can ever deploy its branches and bear fruit;
[20] Because (re)building a Black Nation requires building our own structures and infrastructures‚ connecting individuals‚ organizations and communities and embracing our own solutions to improve them through retrocontrol;
[21] Because sometimes self-preference is only a necessity to escape a scheduled disappearance… and because it is not on the day of the hunt that one raises the dog;
[22] Because MUUJIZA (the Miracle) of Kemet (Africa) exists and we are its living and inextinguishable sparks;
[23] Because our children‚ citizens of the future‚ deserve to know the beautiful and majestic diversity of our languages‚ songs‚ rhythms‚ techniques and sciences‚ ways of life and systems of thought‚ in a nutshell‚ of our plural heritage and then to proudly walk towards their destinies under the noble banner of our own names :
I speak my gratitude to Life that graces me to yet be on its waves‚ to the Masters whose path I’ve crossed in Space and Time for the keys forged‚ and ultimately to the circumstances of my birth for the sometimes trying but always fulfilling mission that is mine.
Love‚ Light and Achievement!
