To the brother who asked if anyone saw the black panther movie , can they give their feedback something like that. I tried to reply directly but wasn’t letting me type the post. I saw the movie on m4free.info my sistren gave the website for free movies. And I am hapi I watched it . The movie have many subliminal and direct messages : especially for ones who are woke or seeking to be woke. All through out the movies ; I saw personally how we really need each other and the connection between the diaspora and afrika need/MUST be re connected. In my opinion and what I gathered from the movie. I know a three year old boy , saying he is black panther now, not spider man. His dad told me ; his son see himself in the black panther. And cries if you call him spider man. In my opinion, the child is seeking Sankofa in his own little way. I saw him on face time crying when we called him spider man and he yelled at us saying : I am black panther … Screaming etc.. Yes, it’s not black owned and it’s not all black cast either. But I do like the fact ; many ones who don’t know their roots will start seeking who they are . Just like one of the casts, I think it is the new king whom is from Los Angeles ; as I listen to 1170am radio – Caribbean station . The radio host said: he said in an interview. He never knew much about afrika or his roots and the panther movie open tht door for him to take a trip to afrika and he was glad he made that trip too. So you see, In my opinion the movie can wake up sleeping giants and allow Sankofa to sink in. And if the main cast had that sense to connect, I am sure many others are too. The fact that he went to afrika ; shows a Positive side to the black panther movie. I really don’t business if Hollywood did it. Because we have many independent film makers , I will Love to see them get involved with more afrikan centered movies such as the black panther. We need Afrikan- Real History films. I will like to more black film makers – with an afrikan focus. Ex. At the end of the movie the new king went back to the ghetto of amerikkka and talked about his plans to restore black amerikkka etc.. We are responsible for each other both sides are BADLY AND SADLY DAMAGED. Both sides need healing and to love thyself.1 Comment-
Yes, I know there’s a list long of black film makers and I know none of the monies for black panther movie will go to the black communities. They never do. Unless it’s hidden colors to name a few. I think we need to
Reach out to more black film makers and start filming more real afrikan history. I know there are ones out there doing it, but we need more for Afrikans at home and
Abroad are still genetically sick and on Coon patrol . Both sides are sick . . We black funding and black film makers along with black casts. These are the questions we need to address to the black owned film makers. If those three can happen, then we will be good. However, that wasn’t the case with black panther , but the cast still went to afrika . Anyways. See the movie for yourself . Maybe you will overs what I mean about the movie.
