It’s been almost one year since I released my poetry book, “The Awakening Anthology.” This book is a collection of 49 poems I wrote on my journey through racial consciousness. It is an expression of so much of what I’ve learned, felt and experienced during this time as well as what we’ve experienced collectively as a people.
