Definitely going to do a video on this. It’s an interesting one.. I think there’s is some truth in the concerns about the continued use of the term. Ultimately I think we will evolve out of it. But only once a critical mass of us develop that will. And based upon the fact that “Afrikan” is the common term at the moment, I think that critical mass will have gravitated to each other based upon a shared understanding of what “Afrikan” means on the first place.

So. I think we should recognise the limitations and the need to evovle out of it. But… It is what it is right nw. Let’s be conscious agents of the evolution, but not preoccupied with this specific thing… If that makes sense.

@shakara, you’re a lot more forgiving of Anti-Black all-Africanism than I am.-
Lol… Mmmm… Not really. Just recognising that the distinction doesn’t mean anything to alot of ppl…. Knowledge on Pan-African ism is generally low. So for those on an entry level, things need to be explained. But we’ll get in to the nuances in future vids – as well as the contradictions in alot continentalism as an ideology.

Agreed. I k ow a few ppl who have suggestions. As always what ever one suggests runs the risk of some others considering it an “imposition” on ppl on the continent, who, they say, ID by “tribe”… So yeh… Most of us get to this point after a journey… I think we’ll need to go on a collective journey with this one.
